HEY! I'm Kristy Ruthstrom

Growing up with strict parents meant concerts were totally off-limits, but once I started going to shows in my twenties, I was hooked. There's something about that energy when everyone's packed together just because they love the music.

I specialize in concert photography for metal and rock bands because that's the music that speaks to me. I want my pictures to make people feel what that moment was like – the energy, the emotion, all of it. I've shot at venues like The Fillmore in Denver and House of Blues in Houston, photographing bands like Skillet, Starset, Saint Asonia, and Blackstone Cherry.

My tech background definitely helps with problem-solving and getting the most out of Lightroom, but what I really bring is versatility. I think about how photos can work beyond social media – for posters, merch, patches, and other uses. This isn't just a job for me; it's about connecting with the artists who make the music that moves us. When I'm not shooting, I'm usually designing and sewing clothes (I love all things creative), but honestly, my goal is simple: to be the photographer you'd want with you on tour, capturing the moments that define your music.

I'm based near Denver, Colorado, and I'm ready to travel wherever the music takes me.
